Lucy

Jan 5, 2019, Memories of Lucy as a child.
A couple hit me and i smile every time.
A little girl was here at my job with her family for a party. She couldn't be more than 2 or 3 yrs old. She tried to get on the elevator but mom caught her. When Lucy was that little, I used to take my mother to therapy and to the doctor a lot. One time as i was getting mother off the elevator, lucy decided to go for a ride. She went up... by herself... and i didn't know where she was going or what she was doing. So i pushed the button to get on the elevator and with terror in my soul (because omg what was going to happen if i couldn't find her? what if she got stuck in the doors? what if someone took her? what if she went running through the halls and i couldn't find her?)I waited. The doors opened and there stood Lucy, smiling, proud of the big girl that road the elevator all by herself. And all i could do was grab her and hug her and cry because she was o.k.

Another time, Lucy had been asking when it was going to snow and she could play in the snow. So i told her the weather man said it would snow in a little bit because she was driving me insane asking about it. (i think she was 3 or 4 at the time). She went into her room and put on her tights, her pants, her under shirt, her long sleeve shirt, her snow suit, socks, coat, gloves, scarf and came to me .... it was August...

Lucy always had her own agenda and did what she wanted.  There were times i just cried and most times i just laughed. Those were Lucy moments.
